Bringing in the New Year and Growth in 2025

Happy New Year, Witches!

Wow, here we are—2024 is packing its bags, and I’m left marveling at the whirlwind of growth, lessons, and moments that defined this year. For me, this past year has been a masterclass in juggling motherhood, navigating stress, side-stepping the occasional bout of depression, and savoring those oh-so-sweet bursts of joy that make it all worthwhile.

Becoming a mom has been like stepping onto a rollercoaster—the kind that leaves you breathless, exhilarated, and occasionally clutching your metaphorical bar for dear life. Watching my son grow over just one year has been my personal time machine, marking the swift passage of days while nudging me to keep learning, growing, and evolving alongside him. Babies don’t come with pause buttons, folks, and honestly, I wouldn’t want them to. (Well, maybe during nap protests…)

But let’s talk about letting go—a skill I’ve resisted learning with all the fervor of someone clutching a favorite, tattered sweater. And yet, 2024 handed me the ultimate plot twist: realizing that letting go isn’t about loss. It’s about making room. Room for growth, for new connections, and for breathing a little deeper. People, places, things—I’ve released my grip on what no longer serves me, and surprisingly, it’s been liberating. Like Marie Kondo-ing my soul.

So, as I gaze into the glittering possibilities of 2025, I’m setting some intentions (because “resolutions” sound way too binding). Here’s my whimsical wishlist for the new year:

  1. Reconnect: Call, text, or (gasp) send an actual letter to loved ones. Cherish the people who add sparkle to my days and remind them that they matter.

  2. Protect My Energy: Bid a polite but firm farewell to those who drain my joy faster than my toddler empties a box of Cheerios.

  3. Show Up for Myself: Whether it’s a daily workout, a moment of stillness, or chasing my wildest dreams, I’m committing to my own happiness and growth—no half-measures allowed.

As the clock ticks closer to 2025, I’m feeling optimistic, determined, and just the right amount of whimsical. What about you? What are your hopes, dreams, and (dare I say) resolutions for the year ahead? Whatever they are, may they be bold, beautiful, and brimming with magic.

Cheers to letting go, holding on to what matters, and making the next 365 days absolutely extraordinary!
